Combine collage papers, images from nature, and dried flowers  between layers of hot wax to create beautiful encaustic paintings. All materials are provided. Short demonstrations of basic tools and techniques will be followed by plenty of time devoted to guided hands-on creating. The workshop is suitable to those new to encaustic painting as well as those with experience.

Create your own Felted Painting to bring home with you! Begin your morning with a stroll through the beautiful gardens at the Farm, taking pictures of your favorite spots. Then return to the Coop where Justine will show you how to translate your photograph into your own piece of fiber art! Participants will be able to do one or two pieces depending on size of their project. Experience why felting is fast becoming a new favorite artform and stress relieving activity! This workshop is all about having fun with fiber, dye, and collage! Learn to dye all sorts of fun papers, fibers and fabrics for your collages, and then using simple embroidery stitches to embellish your final mixed media piece. It's like three workshops in one! ALL skills welcome, and all supplies are included in the price. Just bring yourself and have a blast!
